For the safety and comfort of our guests and their humans, and we like to keep things organized and running smoothly, which is why all check-in and check-out appointments must be scheduled in advance.
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and delays happen. Just let us know if you run into some traffic, or lose track of time. Texting is a great way to advise us of any delays!
For overnight boarding guests checking in, afternoon check ins are available, however, if you have the option, we do prefer to have our guests arrive earlier rather than later. Your dog will settle into their suite much better if they have an entire day to get used to us, their surroundings, and other guests, and to tire themselves out from a day of play! This way, they'll have a good night's sleep and be well rested for their day ahead.
Scheduling your check-in and check-out appointments in advance is a must. Here at Tucked Inn, we love receiving and sending our guests off on time and with ease. By scheduling appointments ahead of time, we can ensure a seamless check-in and check-out experience for everyone, including our furry friends.
Please understand that unexpected arrivals can be a bit of a challenge, especially during busy times. That's why scheduling in advance is so important. It helps reduce stress for our guests and ensures a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.

Our pricing structure is designed for convenience, much like that of a hotel. There's a boarding fee for the initial day and the drop-off time (check in time) won't affect the cost, provided it aligns with our regular check-in timeframes (shown above). When it comes to picking up your companion, doing so during our morning hours (check-out time) incurs no extra charge.
For tailored check-in or check-out times falling between our morning and afternoon windows, a supplementary charge of $29 ensures the flexibility you need. It's important to note that during these hours, our guests enjoy much needed downtime, our staff takes a well deserved lunch break, and we utilize the time for kennel cleaning and maintenance. This is in addition to Stay & Play fees.
If your pet extends their stay until our afternoon hours, a fee for that day (Stay & Play) of $39 per guest will apply.
Should you require check-in or check-out times outside our regular morning and afternoon slots—specifically, before we open in the morning (8:15 am (M-F) or 9:30 am (W/H)) or after we close in the evening (5:45 pm (M-F) or 4:30 pm (W/H))—a premium Special Request service is available at an extra cost of $49. This is in addition to Stay & Play fees.

The Finer Details

Please arrive at your scheduled time for check in and check out. We make every effort to ensure smooth pick up and drop offs for our clients and their dogs, and missed/late arrivals may interrupt our daily schedule. Should you happen to be arriving early or late for your appointment, we ask you to please advise us ahead of time so we may make arrangements — and to please be patient as we may be helping another guest during that time. Also, if you are unable to make your scheduled time, you may be subject to a late and/or after hours fee.

Your pet’s overnight stay includes up until 10:00am on check out day. Should you require late check out in our afternoon timeframe, an additional "Stay & Play" fee of $39+HST (per guest) will be applied to your final invoice. Please ensure you have booked your check in and check out times prior to your pet’s stay.

Check in or check out times outside of these timeframes may be arranged and a $29 or $49+HST fee (per incident), will be added to your invoice, depending on the Special Request time (see above).

While there is typically someone on the property 24 hours a day, we also prioritize our own work/life balance and, contrary to some beliefs, are not available around the clock. If you arrive outside of your scheduled check in/out time ...
At Tucked Inn, our goal is to provide a safe and stress-free stay for all our guests. As a small boutique facility, we can only accommodate one check-in/check-out at a time. While we try to schedule each guest for their own personal time slot, sometimes overlapping is inevitable.
In such cases, if you arrive early or late for your appointment, we kindly request that you wait in your vehicle with your furry friend. This allows us to ensure a safe and efficient transition into the facility. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We look forward to providing you and your pet with the best possible experience.
If you cannot pick up by closing time, we can sometimes arrange an after hours, specialized check out, however, please understand the these are the times that we schedule family events and personal appointments and may not be able to accommodate your request. Contact us by phone ahead of time, and we will make arrangements for either a late pick up, or the following day.

We're a unique and cozy facility, far from your typical commercial dog boarding kennel. With hands-on attention and close relationships with our human clients, we create a warm and comfortable environment for all our guests.
At Tucked Inn, the safety of our furry friends is our top priority. That's why we structure our days carefully and in advance, with scheduled nap times and check-ins/check-outs around these periods. This minimizes stress for our guests, allowing them to be their best selves while in our care.
By scheduling check-in and check-out appointment times, we're always prepared for your arrival or departure. This way, we can ensure that all our guests are either safely secured in their suites or outside in the courtyards with the reception door closed. We kindly ask for your cooperation in respecting your scheduled times, as unexpected arrivals can be difficult when dogs are sleeping, lounging, or resting inside the building.
