Deposits & Cancellations

At Tucked Inn Kennels, we're all about offering a top-notch, exclusive experience for you and your furry friends. As a cozy and intimate boarding facility with limited space, we prioritize advanced reservations to ensure we can provide the best possible care for each of our guests. We do not offer walk-in services and all of our offerings are part of a complete package designed to make your pup's stay as enjoyable as possible.

 

For the comfort and security of all our guests, Tucked Inn Kennels is not open to the general public without a prior reservation. To ensure we can continue providing the best possible services and facilities, we have established the following policies regarding cancellations and changes to reservations.

At Tucked Inn Kennels, we require a non-refundable deposit to secure your reservation for either daycare or overnight stays. For overnight stays, the deposit will be 50% of the total cost of the initial reservation, while daycare visits must be paid in full in advance. Deposits must be received within 24 hours of booking approval and deposit request, otherwise the booking will be automatically cancelled. Once we receive your deposit, we'll send a confirmation email to the provided address within 24 hours, officially confirming your reservation.

 

We understand that plans can change, but please note that we don't offer refunds for cancellations. For multi-visit daycare packages, you'll have 90 days from the purchase date to use the credits. Any no-shows or cancellations received with less than 24 hours notice will result in losing one daycare credit. Frequent cancellations or no-shows may result in your dog being removed from our daycare program, and no refunds will be given for unused credits. For single visit daycare bookings, cancellations received more than 24 hours in advance will be credited to your account for future use within three months. However, cancellations received less than 24 hours before the visit, or no-shows, won't be refunded or credited. Please understand that sending us a cancellation request after hours the night before a scheduled daycare visit is not sufficient. The request must be made 24 prior to the check in time scheduled for your pups arrival. 

 

If you need to cancel an overnight boarding reservation, please note that cancellations received less than 21 days before the arrival date will result in the forfeiture of the entire deposit. Further details are listed below. 

No refunds or credits will be provided for dogs who need to be removed / sent home due to behavioural concerns.

 

Our grooming services are also reserved in advance with our exclusive partners, and cancellations or changes to grooming appointments made less than 24 hours prior to the start time will incur the full charge for the treatment booked.

Can any exceptions be made?

At Tucked Inn Kennels, we take each reservation seriously and carefully plan our staffing and resources based on the number of expected guests. This means that when you book a stay with us, we are dedicating resources specifically for your furry companion's comfort and well-being.

 

We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise and plans may change, but it's important to note that cancellations impact our daily operations and the reservations of other guests. With that in mind, we have established the following policies to ensure the smooth running of our facilities and provide a positive experience for all of our guests:

Deposits

50% deposit, non-refundable (as per cancellation policy), 

 

Deposit is due and payable upon booking and required to secure reservation. Must be received within 24 hours of deposit request, otherwise the booking will be cancelled.

If your deposit is not received, there is a risk that your pet will not be able to board with us.

Existing clients who wish to pay with cash are not required to provide a deposit, however, this must be arranged in advance.

Daycare

Full balance payable in advance, upon booking. Must be received within 24 hours of payment request, otherwise the booking will be cancelled. No refund upon cancellation.

If your deposit is not received, there is a risk that your pet will not be able to spend the day with us.

Existing clients who wish to pay with cash are not required to provide a deposit, however, this must be arranged in advance.

Boarding

Once a reservation has been confirmed, any cancellation received more than 21 days prior to arrival will be processed at no charge and the deposit will be applied to a future booking within six (6) months of the original arrival date.

 

Any cancellations received less than 21 days prior to arrival will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit.

 

By providing your deposit / payment, you agree and understand that no refund will be provided in the event of cancellation.

Daycare

Once a reservation has been confirmed, any cancellation received more than 24 hours prior to arrival will be processed at no charge and the deposit will be applied to a future booking within three (3) months of the original arrival date.

 

Any cancellations received less than 24 hours prior to arrival will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit or one daycare credit on pre-paid accounts.

 

By providing your deposit / payment, you agree and understand that no refund will be provided in the event of cancellation.

Boarding

To secure your reservation and make sure your dog has a spot to stay, it's important to send us the deposit within 24 hours from when your booking is approved and the deposit is requested . Our spots fill up quickly on a first-come, first-serve basis, so don't hesitate to make your deposit and secure your reservation.

First time guests (new customers) who cancel their first reservation, with or without a deposit, will be required to pay for their next booking in full, with no refund or account credit if the booking is cancelled a second time. Future boarding/daycare requests may be subject to refusal.

 

* For reservations booked less than three days in advance of check in, may be required to pay the full amount in advance in order to reserve your suite. Last minute bookings (less than 24 hours notice) may require full payment, with a $29 last minute booking fee added.

The Fine Print

  • New customers who cancel their first reservation or existing customers who cancel more than two times in a 12 month period may be removed from our boarding program and may no longer be eligible for future stays.

  • First time guests (new customers) who cancel their first reservation, with or without a deposit, will be required to pay for their next booking in full, with no refund or account credit if the booking is cancelled a second time. Future boarding/daycare requests may be subject to refusal.

  • All cancellation requests must be in writing. Requests should be emailed to contact@tuckedinn.ca

  • Cancellations received more than 21 days prior to arrival will be processed at no charge and the deposit will be applied to a future booking within six (6) months of the original arrival date. Future additional date changes will be subject to a $50 rebooking fee. If the deposit remains unused after six (6) months, it will be forfeited in its entirety.

  • If you do not cancel at all, and are considered a no show, no deposit will be refunded, and the full amount of the confirmed no-show stay will be payable prior to any future stays. Additionally, all future stays will be payable in full in advance regardless of the length of stay. Two no-shows will result in permanent removal from our boarding program.

  • Cancellations initiated by Tucked Inn will be issued a full refund of any deposits.

  • No refunds or account credits will be provided if your dog is sent home / removed for any behavioural concerns.

  • All cancellations and no shows are subject to review by Tucked Inn staff and may be addressed on a case by case basis.

  • If you change your reservation to reduce the number of days booked with less than 7 days notice, you will be charged the lesser of $50 or the amount booked and not used.

  • It is not unusual for trip plans to change at the last minute. However, please understand that we carefully schedule bookings for you and our other clients. Therefore, there are NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS for shortened stays, early returns or last minute changes to our overnight boarding services.
