The Risks of Requesting a Booking Without Proper Preparation

Dog is showing aggression

At Tucked Inn, we know that your furry friend is a beloved member of your family. We also understand that you want to make sure they're comfortable and happy when you're away. That's why we take great care in making sure that our suites are clean, comfortable, and safe for all of our four-legged guests.

However, we want to remind our valued customers about the risks of requesting a booking without proper preparation. While we appreciate your assurance that your pup is "well-mannered," "social," or "gets along with all dogs," it's important to keep in mind that not all dogs are the same. This is especially important to consider if you're making a last-minute request that doesn't allow enough time for a trial or a Meet & Greet.

While we typically do not require trial nights for a one or two night stay, we still need to ensure that your pup meets our requirements. We require trial nights for stays of five (5) nights or more to make sure that your pup is comfortable and happy in our environment. We want to make sure that your pup is the right fit for Tucked Inn, and that Tucked Inn is the right fit for your pup.

It's important to note that we are a highly social facility and are unable to accommodate any aggressive or dangerous dogs. This includes aggression towards humans and dogs. We take the safety and well-being of our guests very seriously, and we have a zero-tolerance policy for any aggressive behavior.

Unfortunately, we have had customers who have had to cancel their plans last minute because their dog was certainly NOT dog-friendly or social as they had assured us, and their dog needed to be removed from the facility. This can be stressful for both the owner and their pup, as well as for our team. In the rare event that your dog shows aggression in any form, we WILL call you to come and pick up your pup immediately.

It's important to note that if your dog is sent home due to aggression or any other serious behavior issues, you will lose your deposit and potentially be responsible for an assessment fee, as well as paying the entire stay. This is an expensive risk that we strongly advise against taking. We want to make sure that your pup is happy and comfortable during their stay with us, and we appreciate your cooperation in making sure that they're well-prepared for their visit.

We understand that accidents happen, and that some dogs may not be as social as their owners had hoped. That's why we always recommend taking the time to ensure that your pup is well-prepared for their stay at Tucked Inn. We encourage all pet parents to book a trial night or Meet & Greet, especially if they have any concerns about their dog's behavior.

At Tucked Inn, we're committed to providing the best possible experience for both our guests and their furry friends. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter, and we look forward to welcoming your well-behaved pup to our cozy suites. Thank you for choosing Tucked Inn as your pup's home away from home!
